Introducing Danny Crook, Digital Learning Ambassador
Hello, my name is Danny Crook. I am very pleased to be appointed as Digital Learning Ambassador at PROCAT. I will be developing new digital skills, building confidence and helping others to learn digital tools.
I am 17 and studying at PROCAT Basildon on a fast track programme leading to an electrical apprenticeship.
The fast track programme is an accelerated course that aims to progress students towards their chosen careers through a quick route into an apprenticeship. I am in college every day and will then be able to move into work quicker in 6 months time and start earning money sooner. I enjoy the practical, hands on learning.
Previously, I studied at PROCAT Canvey Island and achieved a level 2 Maths and English Level 1 Diploma in building services.
I live with my family in Billericay and have 3 dogs called Maggie, Jodie and Molly.
My aim is to become an Electrician and I also have a strong interest in IT and Technology. I enjoy building and fixing computers. I am a good trouble shooter and I like learning about new methods.
In my spare time I also like playing video games, also spending time with my animals and family.
I am looking forwarding to working as a Digital Learning Ambassador, to learn new skills and develop my knowledge for the future. Our first challenge is to work with LinkedIn. This is something new to me, so I’m learning how to develop my profile and build a network.
I will be tracking my skills and experience, projects and work in LinkedIn, which will help me in future job interviews and hopefully gaining endorsements and references along the way from my Instructors and from Katharine Jewitt, the Digital Learning Fellow who is managing the Digital Learning Ambassadors project.
