Digital Learning Ambassadors meet at PROCAT Basildon
Hello, it was an early start for us today. We met at 7.30am for a breakfast meeting to share ideas, report back on our activity from the previous week and plan actions for our current LinkedIn project.
As we are a group who work and study full time and work out of different locations, we meet early before the start of the working day. An early start allows everyone to then travel to their campus or apprenticeship work location.
Today, we discussed LinkedIn. It was interesting to hear that both Dan Payne Digital Learning Ambassador and IT Technician at PROCAT and also Katharine Jewitt, Digital Learning Fellow, both gained their roles through seeing the job on LinkedIn. We definitely think it is going to be extremely useful for students to build their CV, track projects, track skills and work experience and gather endorsements. It will help students in job hunting.
We discussed today, actions for the upcoming week. We are planning some lunch time events to introduce both students and instructors to the benefits of using LinkedIn.
