Powerpoint Posters for Student Assessment
If you are looking for new ways for your students to learn online, why not ask them to use powerpoint to create a poster on a particular unit of study.

I have created this useful handout activity, if you’d like to work through using powerpoint office 2013. By the end of it, you’ll know how to create impressive powerpoint presentations with animations, sound effects, include graphs, tables, images, charts and more. You can use this activity handout with students, if you are teaching them how to use powerpoint.
I asked a group of Year 11s today to complete a powerpoint poster and they really enjoyed the activity to both learn how to use powerpoint from scratch and to produce a poster. They took such pride in producing their posters. I actually had a job to ask them to move on, as they would have carried on tweaking their designs far beyond the lesson time. Here’s some of their work shown below.
