Using Microsoft Technology to Improve Student Learning

A Video to Spark Ideas on Using Microsoft Technology to Improve Student Learning

Please watch this five minute video I’ve made on how I use Microsoft technology in lessons. I hope this will inspire you to try new things and spark ideas on how to use Microsoft Technology in your own teaching to improve student learning.

As an example, I recently held a lesson where I used nothing but Powerpoint. I taught students how to use Powerpoint and create fun presentations with animation, sound and impressive design. They then created posters on a research project in Powerpoint. You can see the poster template and guide to creating a Powerpoint presentation here. It improves learners’ digital literacy skills, digital communication skills and group collaboration skills. This method also gives learners ownership for their learning and engages them in the subject.

Please share your ideas on how to use Microsoft technology to improve student learning.
